For this project, we were assigned a type of industry and had to create a brand centered around it. I was selected to create a distillery, and we had to come up with a company name, brand statements, logo, packaging, and more. I called my distillery “Ace Spirits”, and it’s a play on a deck of cards. Ace makes 4 different types of liquors, set in categories by the 4 suits of playing cards. The aged liquors are the dark suits (Whiskey and Scotch, spades and clubs) and the un-aged liquors are the red suits (Gin and Vodka, hearts and diamonds). I designed a business suite, including a business card, letterhead, notecard and corresponding envelopes. I designed secondary products that could be sold as merchandise, the bottle labels and bottles, how they would be packaged, a logo and secondary logos and icons, and much more. For our final, we had to create a brand book detailing every aspect of the brand and their mission, vision, history, guidelines, and more.
